Features- Pool + direct sea access
- Quiet and exclusive panoramic position
Description Although its position is very exclusive and the setting quite unique, the villa does not fit into the luxurious category and is best described as a family beach house. Built in the late 70s - early 80s, it has been partly renovated over the years, so the interiors are slightly dated, but functional and maintained to fair standards. The property is divided into two portions on four levels, each with separate entrance and recreation areas. The downstairs property ( Primo Piano) has four double bedrooms of which one is larger (the master bedroom), while the others are much smaller. The upstairs apartment (Attico) has a master bedroom, a small twin and a further double bedroom that is in a thoroughfare, but can be closed off. All bedrooms, except for one at the mezzanine level, are fitted with air-conditioning units, but not the living areas which have large opening windows to let in the sea breezes. At levels one, two and four, the villa opens onto spacious terraces, equipped with outdoor furniture, providing plenty of room for a large group to congregate and enjoy al fresco dinners and cocktails. The two apartments, connected through a communicating door, are furnished in a simple coastal fashion, with internal staircases between the various levels and steps to reach the pool and the sea access. A country path ( rough and unlit at the beginning!) starting from the driveway winds its way through orchards, olive and lemon groves, before arriving at the picturesque fishing village of Marina della Lobra; it also joins the network of ancient pedestrian roads that take just about anywhere in the Sorrento Peninsula. The quiet and exclusive location in a private cul de sac street makes it the perfect hide away also during peak season. The swimming pool is set in a terrace just above the sea, ideal for sun-set cocktails, while the sea access is 100 steps down from the house entrance. The terraces around the pool are directly above the sea and are unfenced, thereby representing a safety issue for children (and drinking adults!) who must be supervised at all times. Note: The two apartments can be also rented separately; please ask for availability and rates for smaller groups.

As the road winds out along the coast road from Sorrento, one can tangibly feel that they are leaving the city way of life behind. Local farmers (contadini) with their three wheeled Ape Utes tend the olive plantations that string along the rocky hillsides and every now and again the bushes open up to the stretches of blue sea and sights of Capri and the other islands in the Bay of Naples.

Sorrento
Postcard views of Sorrento often concentrate on the impressive cliffs of volcanic rock (tufa) that run down along the coast in this area and plunge perilously into the sea. These cliffs and the wonderfully rich volcanic soils of the area provide wonderful opportunities for spectacular views from panoramic gardens which feature in this area of Italy.
Positano
Positano is one of the most elegant and well known villages on the Amalfi coast. It is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Amalfi Coast, and the valley opens up to an equally magnificent stretch of coastline. The town is built on steep hills descending to the sea and has been resembled to a wedding cake in terms of its layout and terraces flowing with bougainville vines.
