Description

Villa Cesina has is surrounded by its own Mediterranean garden, fruit trees and sloping olive fields, enjoying views from two large terraces, on each of the two levels of the building.

The ground floor opens to a covered and furnished patio, equipped with outdoor grill for summer barbecues, while the interiors, cosy and warm, are very inviting for a winter stay, warmed by a wood heater and fireplace. The configuration of the house makes it ideal for two couples or a family with teenagers.

An above ground swimming pool has been placed on a terrace to provide guests with the opportunity for a refreshing dip whilst enjoying the beautiful panoramic views from this elevated position.

Sant'Agata sui due Golfi enjoys an enviable position on a hill between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. It is the largest village in the Sorrento Peninsula and boasts a few Michelin starred restaurants (Don Alfonso - Taverna del Capitano) and many other fine restaurants and trattorias in the vicinity. Being half way between Sorrento and Positano, it is a very convenient base from which to explore both the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts.

2012 prices are provisional and may be revised, however most owners will accept bookings at 2011 prices until the new prices are confirmed. Please send an enquiry and we'll respond with a firm quote.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of € 300.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Mandatory cleaning fees: € 80.00 per week including 2 hours of maid service 1 times, final cleaning on Saturdays and on departure;
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €6.00 per change per person;
• Late arrival fees – we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
• Telephone - not available;
• Electricity included;
• Heating (per week if required) - €70.00 .

Sorrento

Postcard views of Sorrento often concentrate on the impressive cliffs of volcanic rock (tufa) that run down along the coast in this area and plunge perilously into the sea. These cliffs and the wonderfully rich volcanic soils of the area provide wonderful opportunities for spectacular views from panoramic gardens which feature in this area of Italy.

Nerano

Situated approximately 14 km from Sorrento, the Nerano locality is a primarily agricultural/fishing community which in bygone centuries had little to do with its neighbouring areas. Blessed by a pleasant climate, wonderful outlook and steep sun drenched descent towards the sea it was the enclave of a small number of families who handed down their interests from generation to generation. Even today it is possible to recognise a strong concentration of the family surnames.
