DescriptionBetween the village and the lake is Casa Cremia, a farmers house built in 1858 and recently reconverted into a delightful country style cottage surrounded by lawned gardens, chestnut and other mature trees mixed with oleanders, hydrangeas and palm trees. The cottage has retained its rustic features, such as the original Lombard terracotta tiles, the stone internal staircase and timber ceilings in all rooms. The windows are also original and feature attractive red shutters. A stream runs nearby and forms a small waterfall, whose gentle sound contributes to the relaxing atmosphere of the place. According to the owner, it releases a healthy ion exchange, which has a very positive effect on body and soul!
Position The accommodation at Casa Cremia is located on the hillside above the lakeside drive that circumnavigates the lake. It is in a peaceful position will no disturbance from the road or lake and has unrivalled views Distances: - The beach, with two restaurants and windsurf hire, is within walking distance (cobbled track starting near the house)

Menaggio is situated half way up the western shore of the lake and has a pretty lakeside promenade and harbour to sit around. The town square is compact and lively and there are an assortment of small piazzas with cafe's and restaurants to relax at. The old town, sloping up the lakeshore, is appealing by virtue of its attractive setting. Included in this area are the the hill community of Cremia and the antique fishing village of S. Maria Rezzonico (San Siro).

Refundable security deposit- A refundable security deposit of € 500.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.
- Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):
- Mandatory final cleaning fees: € 80.00 per week
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €6.00 per change per person;
- Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Electricity included;
- Heating (per week if required) according to gas consumed.

Nearby localities
Bellagio
Set on the peninsula at the meeting of the three branches of Lake Como is the beautiful village of Bellagio. Its narrow cobbled streets, breathtaking views, impeccable homes and glorious villas make it a most enchanting spot to visit and admire.
Argegno
Argegno is one of the smallest municipalities around the lake and this alone is a good reason for visiting it. The Via Regina leads into an attractive tree lined square, with a choice of cafes and restaurants. Frome here a network of medieval alleys with gently sloping steps leads to the upper village, leading the discovery of unique corners: the Roman bridge over the river Telo, the Vicolo dei Mulini with its buildings perched high above the lake, and the 17th century channels dug into the rock have survived intact to this day.
