Description

Apt Tesoro is a fourth floor apartment with lift access just 50m from Levanto’s sandy beach. The front door opens into a large living room with two sides of windows opening onto large verandas that both have views over the sea and the Cinque Terra.

A corridor leads down to two double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom) that also open out onto one of the front verandas. There is a further bathroom opposite and further down the corridor there is a rear facing bedroom with a further bathroom (with washing machine). The kitchen with window facing internally is very basic, but has a dishwasher, cooktop, oven, refrigerator, microwave and rusty sink.

The apartment is badly in need of a makeover, but for the moment it provides an opportunity for those on a budget to have excellent valued accommodation in a hard to beat position.

Location

The apartment is located near the old railway station (now tourist information centre) and car parking is available in the public carpark. There is a footpath to the beach (100m) and the shopping centre (300m) and the railway station is one kilometre (10 minute walk) away. Trains depart regularly for Monterosso in the Cinque Terra (1 stop, 4 minutes).

Levanto, a small village to the north of the Cinque Terra is the departure point for the famed CT walking path. Three minutes by train from the next village of Monterosso the village has a lovely sandy beach, car access and a good selection of restaurants, shops and cafes.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of €500 is payable on arrival at the villa. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Mandatory cleaning fees of €100 .00 per week are payable on arrival at the villa. The charges include changeover on Saturdays and final cleaning on departure;
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €12.00 per change per person;
• Utilities costs (except heating) are included in the villa rental price;
• Heating (if required) is an additional cost based on the consumption of energy;
• Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;

• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
• Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.

Nearby localities

Riomaggiore

The southern most village of the Cinque Terra, Riomaggiore lies on the walking path south to Portovenere or north to the next 5T village of Manarola along the famous 'la via dell'amore' (walk of love). Nestled between two cliffs, the town is noted for its vertical buildings that have a lower (front) entrance and a higher (rear) access onto the higher roads behind. Between the two sides there is a lovely characteristic fishing port.

Vernazza

The second of the Cinque Terra towns from the northern end (between Monterosso and Corniglia), Vernazza is probably recognised as the prettiest of the 5 villages. The small fishing port is protected by a tallish headland and has the benefit of a small but lovely sandy beach, overlooked by the main piazza, and the colourful buildings cascading down the hills surrounding it.
