Features- Hard to find elegance in the Cinque Terra
- Close to town and beach
DescriptionSituated on the first (noble) floor of the C16th century structure, Villa Signorile spreads over 300sqm taking up the whole floor. A staircase leads up from the independent entrance (no lift) to the entrance door and to the left is a luminous built in veranda leading to the day area comprising large open dining room, a sumptuously decorated living room with fireplace and through to the kitchen with breakfast table and vine covered walkway to the open pergola covered terrace with large table and barbecue. Right from the entrance door is the night area with a central living room leading to four of the bedrooms, 3 with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom is a suite with four poster bed, antique bath, beautifully frescoed ceilings and lounge area. The second double bedroom has a piano, breakfast table and divan and the third can be a double bed or split into twins. The fourth bedroom has a single bed and the bathroom is next door. From the entrance hall there is a fifth (double) bedroom with a bathroom across the hall that is also equipped with a bathroom. A large ironing/utility room has a divan that can become a double bed. The villa was separated from the old town by a railway line that has now been replaced by a bicycle track and is therefore peaceful and quiet with mainly pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The impressive Saint Andrea church built in 1222 and panelled in stripes of Carara marble and green serpentine is visible from the covered veranda and a two minute walk from the villa.

Vernazza
The second of the Cinque Terra towns from the northern end (between Monterosso and Corniglia), Vernazza is probably recognised as the prettiest of the 5 villages. The small fishing port is protected by a tallish headland and has the benefit of a small but lovely sandy beach, overlooked by the main piazza, and the colourful buildings cascading down the hills surrounding it.
Monterosso
Monterosso is the first official village of the Cinque Terra from the northern end. More open than the other villages, it features a lovely beach and the town is split in two by a prominant headland through which passes a pedestrian tunnel.
