- Large terrace with views
Description Comprising two apartments with a common (and independent) entrance above the harbour of Manarola, this residence is ideal for a family or group of friends. Entering a secure door from the street, on the left is a large bedsitter apartment with a very large terrazzo overlooking the Cinque Terre coast and up the main street of the village. A staircase leads down to the lower level with two double bedrooms (both en-suite), an open plan living area and a further terrace overlooking the village and coastline. The residence has been recently restructured from the best materials and furnishings available to provide modern interiors, first class facilities and utmost comfort. The complex provides two full kitchens (dishwashers, cooktops, ovens, fridges, utensils), two LCD satellite TV’s, iPod stations, ADSL, air-conditioning, leather couches and washing machines. We warn however that to gain access to this apartment it is necessary to climb 50 stairs from the centre of the village or walk to the top of the main street and a further 30 stairs.
Location:Apartment Salvia is located 50 steps above the cosy harbour of Manarola ( 5 mins by foot) and a further 2 mins from the train station. For those travelling in cars, there is a flat walkway that comes round from the luggage drop off area, followed by 30 steps to the apartment.

Manarola
/ italy / liguria / cinque terre / manarola / apt salvia
Manarola is the second village from the south and lies between Riomaggiore and Corniglia. A flat pedestrian walk leads from the station to the principal piazza that leads up to the centre of town along a sunken riverbed and down to the port area where the 'strada di amore' (walk of love) arrives from Riomaggiore. In the Cinque Terra it is hard to find modern, clean and accessible accommodation, however here in Manarola we have managed to find some wonderful solutions.

Monterosso
Monterosso is the first official village of the Cinque Terra from the northern end. More open than the other villages, it features a lovely beach and the town is split in two by a prominant headland through which passes a pedestrian tunnel.
Riomaggiore
The southern most village of the Cinque Terra, Riomaggiore lies on the walking path south to Portovenere or north to the next 5T village of Manarola along the famous 'la via dell'amore' (walk of love). Nestled between two cliffs, the town is noted for its vertical buildings that have a lower (front) entrance and a higher (rear) access onto the higher roads behind. Between the two sides there is a lovely characteristic fishing port.
