Description Villa Rosa Antica is located at the edge of the small village of Trecastagni, above Acireale, at the foot of Mount Etna. The volcano is the main feature of Trecastagni, a quiet village with amazing views spanning from Mount Etna to the to the gulf of Augusta near Syracuse, down to the Southern tip of Calabria. The volcanic soil of the area certainly contributes to the lushness of the many gardens and citrus orchards, but the gardens of Villa Rosa Antica are a real gem and justly so, are the owners' pride and joy. You will find eighty varieties of ancient roses, grape vines and fruit trees and a mix of Mediterranean and semitropical plants; a rose gazebo with a lush lawn surrounding the pool and an old mulberry tree proving shade to the patio at the front of the house. The interiors of Villa Rosa Antica are as beautiful as the outdoors. Its elegant décor was inspired by a British interior decorator, using original Sicilian materials, pieces of furniture and objects, English fabrics and soft furnishings. Special Notes for Villa Rosa Antica Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of € 1,000.00 is payable on arrival at the property, in cash (euro) or double signed travellers' cheques. No other form of payment will be accepted. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. General Information: - Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Check out is by 10.00 on the day of departure.
- The pool is open from the start of April to the end of October
Services included: - Utilities, maid service twice weekly and final cleaning on departure; welcome hamper
Extras - supplied and payable locally - Electricity is included up to 250 Kw; excess is payable extra at €0.25 per Kw.

- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late or Sunday arrivals. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;

An undervalued city in the mid eastern coast of Sicily, Catania standing under the shadows of Mount Etna has an interesting and varied history of Greek and Roman origins, particularly when considered against the context of regular lava flows from nearby Mount Etna.
Taormina
Taormina is a popular (and busy) hilltop resort town in the north-east of Sicily. Containing remnants of its Greek and Roman past, a medieval quarter, castle ruins, modern shops, open air restaurants and fabulous views, it is no wonder that it is one of Italy's most favoured tourist destinations. Perched on the side of Monte Tauro, the town offers fantastic views of the coast and Mt. Etna volcano as well as good hiking paths. Below the town and accessible by cable car or hotel lifts are excellent beaches where you can swim in the clear sea water.
