Description Villa Scaldasole, recently renovated to a very high standard, is set in a landscape of splendid rolling countryside, overlooking the Cortona valley, stretching from Lake Trasimeno to Valdichiana. The villa is ideal for family holidays and offers complete comfort including ADSL internet and air conditioning with the option of having an in-house cook prepare meals and clean up afterwards. Nicely decorated by its present owners, the villa features beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and stylish lightings and fittings. The rooms have been furnished with a blend of modern and antique Tuscan pieces. The rooms at ground floor open to ample outside sitting areas and a pergola with large table for alfresco dining. Outside the villa a large lawn with some lovely shady trees leads down to a very panoramic spot where it is possible to see the whole valley. Underneath is a small annex with a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom and the swimming pool (4m x 8m) area, which also enjoys broad views over the valley. This is a very relaxing holiday choice due to the autonomy of guests to choose between the complete serenity of the villa and the more lively centre of Cortona that is only 15 minutes away by foot. A brief note advising that the entrance driveway passes through a narrow section for which large people movers are not advisable unless driven by experienced drivers. There is abundant parking at the villa.
Position The entrance to Villa Scaldasole is from a long gravel driveway that leads down from the old walls of Cortona. The driveway is in descent and some driving expertise will be required for wide cars or people movers. Distance - Cortona - 1km (shops, supermarket, post, restaurants, cafes, post)

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of € 1,000 is payable in Euros on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. General Information: - Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure.
- The season for pool opening is from May to October;
Services included and extras: - Final cleaning is an extra payable locally in the amount of €300 and not included in weekly rental.
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included. Additional changes may be requested at the cost of €12 per person. Beach/pool towels are not provided;
- Additional maid service can be requested at a cost of €15 per hour
- Electricity up to 250 KwH is included in the villa rental price. Additional energy use is charged based on consumption at 30 cents per kw
- Air-conditioning is charged on the basis of electricity consumption at €0.30 per KwH
- Heating, if required, is payable on the basis of consumption of gas
- Kitchen gas and water costs are included
- High chairs and cots are available at an additional cost of €50 per week
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
