DescriptionLa Casiera was built in the beginning of the 19th century, following the end of the 1st WW and is located on a hill that looks across the gentle, unspoiled Valley of Paglia towards Monte Amiata, Mount Cetona and the Rocca of Radicofani. The main house and the annex of Villa Casiera have been completely restored and great care has been taken to maintain the original features of this typical country property. The housekeeper lives in a small, completely independent apartment which is attached to the main house, but has a separate entrance. The interiors are decorated with pastel colours and are furnished with few period pieces, arranged with flair in a simple yet functional way, with cotto tiled floors and white beam ceilings giving the warm feel of a fashionable country home. La Casiera offers excellent and inexpensive accommodation for a group of twelve people, which can be housed between the main house, sleeping eight and the annexe, sleeping four. The lounge and the dining room of the main house can easily host a group of twelve and the kitchen is also spacious and very well equipped, with a professional gas stove. The annexe would not be rented separately The villa enjoys expansive views of the Tuscan countryside, spanning from the valley immediately below to Mount Cetona and Mount Amiata which dominates the town of Radicòfani. The swimming pool with a shaded pergola is set in a slightly elevated position approximately 50m from the villa and enjoys good views. The gardens are nicely landscaped with broad lawns and several pergolas have been positioned for alfresco dining. Within reach of Rome and Florence, San Giacamo is ideally situated for daily excursions to other places of interest such as Assisi, Perugia, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia and Siena. San Casciano dei Bagni is a lovely small village and thermal spa area in the hills of the Chiana valley. The picturesque village is surrounded by typically tuscan landscape - rolling hills, olive groves and lovely pencil cypress trees. At 580m of altitude the summer climate is most pleasant and the vegetation around the town is rich as a result of the thermal springs (37° - 42°C).

Special Notes for La Casiera Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. General Information: Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure. A refundable security deposit of €400 is payable on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Services included and extras: - Cleaning - Final cleaning is an extra payable locally in the amount of €10 per person and not included in weekly rental;
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included. Additional changes may be requested at the cost of €15 per person. Beach/pool towels are provided;
- Additional maid service can be requested at a cost of €15 per hour;
- Heating, if required, is payable on the basis of consumption of gas;
- Electricity, non heating gas and water costs are included in villa rental;
- High chairs and cots are available at an additional cost of € €50 per week;
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager.

You'll not find much tourism at Celle, it is a small, pleasant, characteristic Tuscan village with a friendly local population, a nice selection of bars, trattorias and general stores, and a lively piazza with great views over the Chiana valley.
