Description The property which comprises the tenuta has been owned and farmed by the same noble family since the 12th century. Their residential castle is situated at the beginning of the valley and visitors to the Tenuta are welcome to inspect it accompanied by our local manager. The two farmhouses that comprising the tenuta, Casa Lentner and Casa Sponda, have been meticulously renovated and restored into 5 apartments and a 9 bedroom apartment / B&B. The pavements on the ground floor are laid with hand-made terracotta tiles, the ceilings inside feature the original re-laid wooden beams and the colours and furnishings are in earthy tones, typical of this style of housing. The apartments are well equipped with Sat TV, ADSL, dishwashers, washing machines and well equipped kitchens. All rooms have delightful rural views and open directly onto a private garden area or lawns. The ecological pool measures 12m x 6m and is upto 3m deep and a further pebble babies pool measures 1.8m in diameter. The pool is bordered by a water garden in which there are many species of water lilies and other plants whose purpose is to oxygenate and cleanse the water of algae. Filtration equipment ensures that the water is at all times clean creating a wonderfully natural swimming spot. Nearby localities
San Marco
The most popular destination of travellers to Venice is the Piazza San Marco, at the end of the grand canal and featuring the wonderful Basilica San Marco with its golden mosaics and interiors. The area is surrounded by colourful lanes, tiny canals and shops by all the major brands.
Santa Croce
Conveniente to the transport terminals, the Santa Croce area is considered too quiet or removed by many tourists. True it is 20 minutes or so to walk to San Marco with its thronging crowds, but this is where many Venetians have their homes, amongst the lovely piazzas and parks or along the canals that wind their way between them. Many guidebooks will recommend this area to discover small trattorias with local cuisine or to mingle with the locals for an evening aperitivo.
