In spite of its little-known charm, Pistoia is a delight to discover. It is nestled in the heart of Tuscany, a stone's throw from Florence, Lucca and Siena, yet overlooked by tourists. As far as the town's prestige goes, it is not as grand as Florence, is less ancient than Siena, and is less complete than Lucca, and its name may not sound as catchy as others. In spite of this, Pistoia is a gem of a city. This rather small town retains all the components of an ancient Tuscan city - old walls, striped churches, frescoes, medieval watchtowers, and arcaded piazzas.
10/10This treasure in the Tuscan Hills was a perfect gathering spot for our family reunion of 14 adults. It is spacious enough to accommodate a large group and has all the modern amenities needed while maintaining the original charm of the Villa to make your holiday truly special.
10/10We were a group of 14... cousins & spouses, friends and family. The villa was wonderful. We cooked and hiked and swam. The hot tube was a bonus. Each bedroom with its own bathroom worked perfectly for everyone. Davide and his father took care of us. The weather was perfect. The villa didn't include air conditioning which caught us off guard at first, but this location doesn't need it. Keeping the windows open at night made the villa comfortable for the entire day.
10/10Wow! I honestly can't say enough about how fantastic this Villa is. It was spotless, had plenty of towels and bedding. We had 16 adults there to celebrate by 50th birthday. We had lots of room and did really were happy that each room had it's own private bath. We had the two private chefs in one night to prepare dinner for all of us. They were absolutely fantastic. Food was delicious and they were beyond happy with a tip that we gave them. I highly recommend using them one night. We also went to the local butcher shop for dinner that was also recommended called Quarteroni. It was one of the best meals and experiences of our trip and we were there 16 days. We used the pool and the hot tub several times and they were also great. We did have a hair dryer that quit the first morning and Davide immediately brought us another one that day. If you like being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place is where you want to be. Don't think twice about staying at this fabulous villa!
