10/10Very relaxing, charming ambiance, very clean and well maintained. Spacious for up to 10 people. Easy access to Florence via bus. The villa offers complete peace and quiet. Great pool for relaxing. Having dinner made for us in the villa was a great experience and we ate leftovers for 2 days.
10/10The longer we stayed the more this villa became our home. It is old but it is quite beautiful in the Tuscan setting of olive groves and other classic villas. The views over Florence are spectacular and they soon became ours. The Duomo in the center of that view constantly reminded us that we were living the dream. Our 10-week holiday was the culmination of a five-year plan and our experience exceeded our expectations on many fronts. We mastered the art of "being" and enjoyed "the sweetness of doing nothing".
10/10Perfect in every way.
10/10The villa is beautiful! It fits our purposes perfectly. We had 9 family members staying there and held a small wedding ceremony in the yard. The garden and views are fabulous and the space of the villa works well for everyone to spread out. The antiques and well-appointed furnishings made the environment warm and cozy.
10/10Charming, beautiful property, spacious. Good bedroom spaces with A/C! Pool for kids and the amazing view! Villa was very clean which was a huge plus. The kitchen is small but very functional, good size refrigerator is. Good washer and dryer! Great outside spaces, well maintained. Overall charming and excellent. Easy to get into Florence. Bus stop 25 is just down the hill. The bus stop can drop you off above the villa, but it is a walk uphill from villa. Beautiful property. We had a dinner the night of arrival and it was a wonderful experience for our family. We didn't get there till after 10 pm but they were OK with that. The small town at the end of road wasn't much and we didn't use it. Discovered NYU has a beautiful campus near the villa. Wish we had had time to explore it.
10/10The villa is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of Florence. It was wonderful to wake up every morning, open the shutters/doors and soak up the ambiance. There were ten (10) adults and a toddler in our group. Everyone had a wonderful and unforgettable time! The garden was gorgeous in September and no doubt a stunner in springtime with wisteria, old fragrant roses, jasmine and hydrangeas. The villa is close to Florence (8-10 min bus ride) but far enough to escape the tourist crowds. The beautiful villa's close proximity to Florence and the generosity of the neighbors. A neighbor met the toddler in our group and gave him fresh chicken eggs and fruits. La Lastra downtown is a 5-minute walk from the villa. Bus tickets can be purchased at the tabacchi as well as any last-minute basic amenities. A car is not really necessary because of the easy bus access to Florence. One can take a taxi from either the airport or the train station. We had a car but used it only once to go to the grocery store. Local produce and meats can be purchased at San Lorenzo Market and by riding the bus. Check-in and check-out went smoothly.
