You can bird-watch at Lake Burano, a lagoon managed by WWF. Burano is a lake located in Maremma, in the southern part of Tuscany. As a State Nature Reserve and WWF Oasis since 1980, it has a distinctive feature: it is separated from the sea by a stunning expanse of dunes covered with thick vegetation, but connected to the Tyrrhenian Sea by an artificial channel that opens as necessary. Its beauty earned Lake Burano the title of "Italian wonder".
