The old old villa has all the mod cons to make you comfortable. We spread 13 people across all seven bedrooms. Don't forget to hire the talented Italian cook for several dinners at home. He also does an engaging cooking class in Italian. Excursions to Florence and Siena are possible. I really enjoyed the down time to relax and talk with family on the deck and around the pool.

500 year old villa with top modern conveniences.....our family visited many amazing places, saw inspiring art, architecture, sights, and restaurants.....but our favorite time was spent at the villa... ..relaxing in the courtyard or in the garden....home cooked meals by Luigi surpassed ALL restaurants, and a special surprise...gypsy music concert in the woods among the olive trees. Annagloria & Enzo make you feel like old friends who aim to please without overdoing it. Magical experience. A thousand thanks!

First let me say that Anagloria and Enzo work very hard to make sure your every need is taken care of. However, besides that they have some excellent tips for incorporating things into your vacation that you hadn't even thought of. They have an open theater with stage and woodland seating and we walked to the bottom of the garden to see La Traviata. We had live music and opera singers as well as food and wine. How wonderful and how perfectly Italian! We also ate dinner in the village square one evening and there was music and stalls. Anagloria made the booking for our group of 10. They even told us where to park in Florence and where to go to the beach - these invaluable tips saved us a lot of time and hassle. He made the most of our vacation. Italy was in the throes of a brutal heat wave when we visited in July, so having the house as an air-conditioned sanctuary was incredible. Also, the pool is the size of a hotel pool so meant we could all enjoy it and play games without being too close for comfort. It was a break from the heat. There is a drinks fridge by the pool, so no need for trips back to the house. They also welcome shade by the pool for those of you who prefer it. The house had regular house keeping during the week so was always in tip top condition. Plus when you're on vacation and there are 10 of you, you don't always want to cook. So being able to have a cook whenever we wanted made it more like a hotel vacation. We had a huge breakfast cooked for us the day we went to Florence - so, we could leave the house directly after breakfast without having to clean up afterwards. We had dinner cooked for us the first night so we wouldn't have to run out to buy groceries. Also, our cook prepared a wonderful 80th birthday meal for my mother-in-law last night. My husband and I had rented this villa with other couples twice before and were delighted to take our 2 little girls, their wives and 4 grandchildren (18, 16, 13 and 11) for an extended break recently. It was a pure joy to share this with them and Enzo and Annagloria did everything possible to make it so. The furnishings were fresh and delightful to use, the kitchen was well equipped (and we all enjoyed it) and the dining room table seats 10, so we all sat around with good food and laughs. The new air conditioning was used the first night (and it did great) but we were lucky and had cool weather the rest of the week and could leave the windows open and have the Tuscan breezes. It was actually too cold for the pool, but the children played football in the groves and we sat out in the garden every night before dinner to enjoy the tranquility and the gigantic sunsets. The roses were in full bloom and were exquisite. The olive trees and vineyards were both in bloom and some of our crowd had allergy issues. I would recommend taking proper meds with you if you have these issues. (The perfumes are intense, everywhere.) Overall the villa lived up to our very high expectations and everyone had their own space, private bathroom and plenty of storage. The location of the villa is so convenient for the villages we like to visit and easy to go to Florence or Siena when you learn about the right ways to park. We did both and it was always heaven to come back to "our villa". Hi MGB
