10/10We just returned from our 1 week stay at this villa. It far exceeded our expectations. It is breathtakingly beautiful. When booking, I always rely heavily on reviews, so I feel the need to point out the many great things about this house. First, we are from New Orleans and A/C is required. This house has an A/C ceiling unit in every room and we nearly froze to death! Yes, that's right. We were there from July 7 -14, 2018. Nights were very cool and a sweater was required as we dined outside every night on the grounds. After dinner every night, we sat by the fire pit. Only regret was that we did not have items to make smores. There were 10 of us. We are mid fifty and we had twin 11 year old boys and a 13 girl and two college girls plus 3 other family members. Everyone loved every minute and never wanted to leave the house. The boys hunted for wood for the fire pit, played ping pong, swam, bocce, ping pong and the TV room has Netflix! American Netflix at that. The bedrooms are all HUGE. Plenty of closet space and large super modern bathrooms. We are a bit spoiled. We like our own space and this house has it. 7 bedrooms and every one has their own bath. About Fabio, we met him on night one and he was very gracious. We had requested food to be stocked. It was a short list, so Fabio came by on Sunday with more food and beer. Mauricio is the best!! He was there everyday. He cooked the welcome dinner (highly suggest this.) I'd like to take him home. He worked in the garden. They grow their own vegetables. We picked herbs from the garden when we cooked on our own. We did the cooking class at the villa and would also suggest that as well. We did rent two cars from Hertz in Siena. Be prepared for that experience. I'll say that we are glad that we rented vehicles, but Hertz was a nightmare. They make you take their insurance and when you do that your credit card coverage is not valid. This VILLA was the best part of our trip through Europe. We came from a few days in Paris and the tranquil setting was perfect. The entire group gives this villa 5 stars. Susie C.
