We stayed in this fantastic farmhouse for about ten days in August, our holidays had been revised and corrected in the face of the Covid pandemic, and now that we have discovered Il Fontanaro, we are literally in love with it! It is exactly as you see it in the photographs: immersed in the peace and quiet countryside at the foot of Paciano, Among expanses of sunflowers disturbed only by "the deafening song of the cicadas". Availability, hospitality, courtesy are the calling card of the staff of Il Fontanaro who, combined with a passion for life, the land and nature, make your stay a real experience to discover the beauties of the area, ranging from Lake Trasimeno to Val d'Orcia passing through for the historic centers of Arezzo, Cortona, Orvieto and close to Siena, Florence, Perugia and Assisi. We felt at home and can't wait to go back

Like a postcard..... there is much to say about our week spent at the Sassicaia Apartment. Just outside the village, one of five apartments set amongst a field of sunflowers and 360 degree views of Umbrian and Tuscan hillsides. It really is something out of a postcard beautiful and never gets old. The apartment amenities were delivered as promised with wifi and sky cable. We were met by Lucia and her son at our arrival with full instructions on everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Each day we were greeted with messages on things to do and see in the area that day so even though you are not at the main house, you are still well cared for. The pool is fantastic and quite large. Showers and beds are good too. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone seeking some downtime and relaxation.
